Our Mission
B.E.A.R United is a FL local, grassroots non-profit serving all of Tampa Bay and the Gulf of America Coast including Treasure Island, Gulfport, Bradenton, Anna Maria Island, Sarasota, Fort Myers and more. We offer hurricane preparation for those unable to board windows, sandbag, tree trim etc and work with a growing network of volunteers that assist with food, housing, and pet boarding during evacuation. We work with local small businesses to provide recovery services such as land clearing, construction, dry-outs, pier and dock rebuilds and landscaping. Additionally, we network with therapists to bring massage and therapy services to disaster survivors on a sliding scale basis, helping them cope with trauma and change. Our goal is to empower communities through self sustainability, education, support, therapy, and resilience-building initiatives, ensuring every family has the tools for recovery and a brighter future.
